The Certificate III in Aggressive Behaviour Management is a modular package designed to provide theoretical and practical skills training addressing the prevention, protection from and management of aggressive incidents within health care environments. Participants learn prevention strategies, as well as both verbal and physical techniques in the effective prevention and management of occupational violence and aggression while minimising injury or danger to staff, patients and others.

The primary emphasis of the course is prevention of aggression and violence with a strong emphasis on the risk management principles of identifying, assessing, controlling, monitoring and communicating risks associated with aggressive behaviour in the workplace.

The courses are accredited Nationally Recognised Training products leading to either a Statement of Attainment or full Certificate outcome. This course is delivered under licence to Queensland Health. Currently the course accredited is 30554QLD but this is about to be superseded by 30900QLD, the new revised version. This is as a result of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.

The full certificate III includes restrictive practices and team intervention units which may not suit all healthcare environments. Please contact us to discuss a training needs analysis.
